Before the studio, before the guitar, there were pencils drumming rhythms on school desks. A self-taught path began at sixteen with a borrowed six-string, leading to a lifetime of songwriting.
A blend of folk, rock, and story
Trace's sound is a rich tapestry woven from diverse inspirations. Early melodic sensibilities were shaped by the timeless artistry of Paul McCartney and The Beatles, instilling a deep appreciation for accessible, memorable hooks.
Yet, the raw energy of classic heavy metal and grunge also left an indelible mark. This fusion created a unique folk-rock voice, where intimate narratives meet powerful, driving rhythms.
Craftsmanship over trends, always
In a world of fleeting sounds, Trace Ericksen chooses the enduring melody. Each song is a commitment to artistic vision, a narrative patiently built, never chasing the next big thing.
